Burns urges local organizations to apply for public safety, support grants

Multi-agency grants available to help community programs

EBENSBURG, Jan. 27 – Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, today urged local governments, nonprofits and other community organizations to consider applying for three state grants currently available to support community programs.

“As your state representative, I am dedicated to making sure Cambria County receives its fair share of state investment and support,” Burns said. “I fight hard to make sure our tax dollars are returning here to support our community and not funding some big city spending program.”

Informing and encouraging government, nonprofit and other eligible entities to apply for available grants is one of Burns’ top priorities – and his office stands ready to provide assistance to those that wish to apply.

Last year Burns secured more than $22 million in state and federal grants for Cambria County, including grants for local fire companies, schools, municipalities and public safety organizations.
