Ciresi offers condolences on the passing of Trappe Fire Chief & PSP Trooper Branden Sisca

HARRISBURG, March 21 – State Rep. Joe Ciresi, D-Montgomery, issued the following statement on the death of Branden Sisca, Fire Chief for Trappe Fire Company No. 1, who was one of the two Pennsylvania State Police troopers fatally struck during a traffic stop early this morning in Philadelphia:

“I am devastated by the loss of one of the pillars of our community, Fire Chief Branden Sisca, who along with another Pennsylvania State Trooper and the individual they were trying to assist were killed by an oncoming car.

“Fire Chief Sisca had just joined the Pennsylvania State Police in February 2021 where he served in the Patrol Section of Troop K, which covers Philadelphia. Serving as both a fire chief and as a state trooper, he lived his life wholly dedicated to the welfare of the people of Pennsylvania.

“He was just 29 years old.

“Fire Chief Sisca died as he lived — in service to others. Fire Chief Sisca’s death is an awful reminder to us how our law enforcement put their lives on the line every day to protect ours. My prayers are with the Sisca family during this terrible time.”
