E-Blast: Election Day is Tuesday!

PA Representative Gina Curry banner image

Hello Neighbors, Community Members and Friends,

Election Day is almost here!

In-person voting will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. this Tuesday, November 3.

If you still have your mail-in or absentee ballot, I recommend returning them using a secure ballot drop box or taking them to the county elections office in person. Delaware County has several drop boxes available. You can find them here. The county elections office must receive your ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day for it to be counted.

Voting is so much more than an errand to run on Tuesday. It’s an important way for you to make sure the leaders elected reflect your community’s needs. Make a plan to vote and then put that plan into action.

If you need to vote in person and don’t know your polling place, you can look it up here.

Happy voting,

We need your help with our upcoming events!

We need volunteers to help us with our upcoming Baby Shower, Winter Resource Fair, and Thanksgiving Resource Fair! Volunteers can help in many different ways – give us a call and we can talk you through how you can help!

Helping you with housing

This week, my staff joined the Housing Equality Center of PA, UDTJ, the Media Fellowship House and state Senator Tim Kearney for a Housing Resource Fair at Upper Darby One Center!

We brought together resources on home buying and housing support resources, first time home buyer programs, and more, to help families in Delaware County as they look for their next home.

Important changes coming to Medicaid in 2027!

In July 2025, Republicans in our U.S. Congress passed a bill that makes changes to the Medicaid program, and that bill was signed into law.

Starting in January 2027, changes to Medicaid go into effect. Some Medicaid beneficiaries will be required to renew their Medicaid every six months instead of every year. And some Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries will need to meet work requirements or meet an exemption and report to PA DHS. If they do not report, they could lose coverage or be ineligible for Medicaid.

The EARN program helps anyone receiving cash or SNAP benefits with education or finding employment. Be sure to check them out, especially as we head toward changes in Medicaid work requirements.
