The Wall That Heals

“The Wall That Heals” – a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial -- is on display outside the State Capitol Building. The Pennsylvania General Assembly sponsored the event to honor those who served and to tell the story of Vietnam, one name at a time. Former Governor Tom Ridge served as the Keynote Speaker for the Opening Ceremony, while state Rep. Chris Sainato, the Democratic Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, attended. Mr. Ridge was the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, and served as an Army staff sergeant, receiving the Bronze Star for Valor for his service in Vietnam.
