Guenst: More than $116K awarded to protect wastewater in Upper Moreland

HARRISBURG, Sept. 20 – State Rep. Nancy Guenst, D-Montgomery/Phila., today announced the influx of $116,360 in state funding earmarked for a flood mitigation initiative in the 152nd Legislative District.

Funding was granted through the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Guenst said this funding came by way of the CFA’s Flood Mitigation Program and will help the Upper Moreland Hatboro Joint Sewer Authority protect the wastewater treatment plant in Upper Moreland and Hatboro Borough.

“Ensuring the wastewater in our community is properly handled and secured is vital to the overall well-being of our district,” Guenst said. “My office will continue to advocate for state funding that will both keep our residents safe and the local environment sustainable for years to come.”
