State Rep. Nancy Guenst awarded Ira Bellew the Korean Medal of Peace for his actions during the Korean War.
On July 2, 2021, the formal dedication of the Captain Samuel Schultz Memorial Bridge (formerly Edge Hill Road Bridge) took place. It was postponed last year during COVID-19. Captain Schultz was a Huntingdon Valley native and Abington Senior High School graduate who was among four Marines killed in a military helicopter crash in 2018.
