State Rep. Kazeem partners with homeownership groups to benefit Delaware County residents

CHESTER, June 7 – State Rep. Carol Kazeem, D-Delaware, is partnering with the Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania, the Chester Community Improvement Project and other housing-related organizations to host a Delaware County Homeownership Fair for the 159th legislative district from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.

Kazeem said residents of Delaware County are invited to attend this free event to learn about down payment assistance programs and grants, resources, and other information about refinance options and home purchasing in Delaware County.

Promoting homeownership engenders financial strength, stability, and permanent residence in communities facing housing disparities, she said. The event will enhance the critical effort to transition residents toward homeownership and give them access to resources to help overcome the challenges that often preclude community members from investing in their own property.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the homebuying process, ask questions of experts in the housing field, and meet lenders, realtors, and housing counselors ready to help them succeed. All are welcome to attend.
