Kosierowski: Business awarded low-interest loan

Investment to bring new jobs, warehouse to Scott Township

State Rep. Bridget Kosierowski, D-Lackawanna, announced today that a 15-year, $250,000 low-interest loan has been awarded to Protecall LLC, formerly Protecall Coatings LLC, a New Jersey-based business that modifies factory HVAC systems.

According to Kosierowski, the loan, approved by the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, and distributed through the NEPA Alliance, will enable the company to purchase a 0.8-acre parcel of land and construct a 9,600-square-foot facility that will consist of 7,800 square feet of warehouse and light manufacturing space and 1,800 square feet of office space in Scott Township.

“I’m pleased that this company was selected to be part of a low-interest loan program that has supported the creation and retention of 1,010 full-time jobs this year,” Kosierowski said. “The investments we make in our business communities are investments that enable us to move forward for generations to come.”

Kosierowski said the light manufacturing and warehouse space will allow the company to apply protective coatings in-house, store the units and distribute them as needed.

The total project cost is $500,000 and the project will relocate seven full-time jobs from New Jersey to Pennsylvania within three years.
