Rep. Krueger's Biography
State Representative Leanne Krueger represents Pennsylvania’s 161st Legislative District in Delaware County. Leanne made history in 2015 as the first woman to represent the district. Leanne serves as Democratic Secretary of the Labor & Industry Committee, Democratic Chair of the Commerce sub-committee on Small Business, member of the Appropriations Committee, Vice Chair of the SAFE Caucus, which addresses gun violence prevention, and Co-founder of the Climate Caucus in the Pennsylvania House. Although she’s only been in office since 2015, Leanne has quickly emerged as a leading voice for women, families and our environment.
Leanne holds an MBA in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University and a BA in Sociology from Rutgers University. She is also a BALLE Fellow, a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and a Pennsylvania Fellow of the Center for Progressive Leadership.
