Dear Neighbor,
Fighting for resources for our community is one of the best parts of my job. I'm excited to share that projects in our district are receiving $746,000 in new grants through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnership Program to support recreational improvements, natural resource conservation, and community revitalization projects.
Investing in our parks, open space, and community resources helps ensure families have safe, accessible places to gather, play, and connect with the outdoors.
These improvements strengthen our neighborhoods and enhance quality of life across our district.

Property Tax/Rent Rebate Event in Ridley Township
|
Last Wednesday, I partnered with Senator Tim Kearney to host a Property Tax/Rent Rebate event at the Ridley Township Public Library. We had a great turnout of residents who came out to apply for their rebates and get help navigating the process.
Attendees also had the opportunity to visit resource tables to learn more about programs and services offered by Senior Community Services and PECO.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! If you were not able to attend and would still like assistance with your Property Tax/Rent Rebate application, please contact my office or stop by. We’re always happy to help!

Supporting Small Businesses in Delaware County
|
Last week, I joined my colleagues in the House and Senate to present a $592,719 check to the Women's Opportunities Resource Center to support its new Small Business Assistance Center, which expands their services into Delaware County.
I have known WORC’s work for over 20 years and deeply respect the support and capital that they provide for local entrepreneurs. This new investment will help individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses access the tools and resources they need to start, grow, and succeed. Supporting small businesses means strengthening our local economy and creating more opportunities in our communities.
This funding is part of the Shapiro Administration’s $21 million investment in 11 Business Assistance Service Centers across Pennsylvania, helping connect small businesses with the guidance and resources they need to grow.

PennDOT Online Traffic Safety Survey
|
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking input from Pennsylvanians on traffic safety and driving behaviors through an online survey that will be available through February 28 at pa.gov/dotsafety. The survey will help inform PennDOT on how to improve traffic safety and save lives across the Commonwealth.
Traffic fatalities declined to 1,127 in 2024 — the second-lowest total since recordkeeping began in 1928. Early data suggests fatalities may decrease again in 2025, underscoring that continued safety efforts are making a meaningful difference.
PennDOT invests nearly $30 million annually in federal grant funds statewide, partnering with educational and enforcement grantees, to deliver programming each year to help prevent crashes, fatalities, and injuries on our roadways. This survey seeks information on drivers’ behavior behind the wheel to better inform PennDOT’s program planning. This voluntary survey covers several topics including seat belt use, impaired driving, speeding, and distracted driving, as well as bicycle, pedestrian, and motorcycle safety.
The survey takes about five minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.
