Krueger to host consumer protection information event, veterans breakfast

FOLSOM, Feb. 25 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will be hosting two upcoming events to help community members access valuable state services.

Krueger will host consumer protection office hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 at her district office, 701 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom.

A representative of the Office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection will be on site to answer consumer questions or field complaints, as well as provide information on how to avoid scams.

“I know community members are concerned about how they can best protect themselves from scams and what they can do if they have encountered problems,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “I’m happy to host the attorney general’s office so that residents can get the answers they need.”

Krueger will also host a veterans breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to noon March 7, at Herbert W. Best VFW Post 928, 1805 MacDade Blvd., Folsom.

Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a light breakfast and learn about state and local resources for veterans. The Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans’ Outreach Van will be on site to help veterans connect with needed benefits such as disability, health care, pension, education and more.

“Veterans have sacrificed so much on our behalf, and I want to make sure we are helping them access the services and benefits they need and deserve,” Krueger said. “These events are my way of showing gratitude for everything our veterans have done for us.”

Breakfast is free, but veterans are asked to sign up by calling Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
