Krueger to host spotted lanternfly virtual workshop Aug. 25

FOLSOM, Aug. 19 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will host a virtual workshop on the spotted lanternfly at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Krueger will be joined by Sam Barnett, a master gardener with Penn State Extension, to discuss the spotted lanternfly and what residents should do if they see the invasive bug.

“The spotted lanternfly poses a huge threat to our agricultural industry and can damage our trees and plants and make it difficult to enjoy the outdoors,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “Spotted lanternflies are being sighted all over Delaware County, and I want to make sure our residents are armed with the information they need to help us get rid of this pest.”

Anyone interested can watch the workshop at 6:30 p.m. on Krueger’s website, www.RepLeanne.com. Questions can be submitted in advance to RepKrueger@pahouse.net or called in during a question-and-answer period.

Anyone needing more information can call Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
