Rep. Leanne Krueger January 27, 2021 | 5:28 PM
FOLSOM, Jan. 27 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger announced that a state grant will help the Delaware County Technical High School campus in Aston upgrade cafeteria equipment.
Cafeteria grants were awarded to 59 elementary, middle, and high schools by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, through federal funds.
Delaware County Technical High School – Aston was awarded $7,147 for a convection steamer.
“I’m happy to see Delaware County Technical High School receive this funding to help purchase the equipment needed to prepare healthy meals for students. Food insecurity has grown during the COVID-19 pandemic, making it even more important that we ensure schools are equipped to serve nutritious food, so that kids can focus on learning,” said Krueger, D-Delaware.
More information about the grants is available from the Department of Education.
