Krueger, Kane to host shredding and prescription drug collection event

FOLSOM, March 23 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger and state Sen. John Kane will host a free shredding and drug take back event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 23.

The event will take place in the rear parking lot at Strath Haven High School, 205 S. Providence Road, Wallingford. Residents should enter from Brookhaven Road.

Residents are invited to bring up to four boxes of documents to have them shredded on site. In addition, the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office will be on-site collecting unneeded medications for proper disposal.

Electronics will not be accepted at this event.

“I am happy to once again be able to host this event to help the residents of the 161st District,” Krueger said. “Proper disposal of unneeded medications can prevent misuse and shredding old papers containing confidential information can help prevent identity theft. It’s my hope that this event makes it easier for constituents to discard their old papers and medications safely.”

Kane said, “Shredding days are always our most well-attended events of the year. It’s a great opportunity for constituents to safely dispose of their confidential items, but it’s also a wonderful time to meet with our neighbors and interact with the district. I’m so proud to host this event with my friend and colleague, Representative Krueger, and look forward to a busy day.”

Anyone with questions can contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
