Krueger, Kane invite veterans to their annual appreciation lunch

FOLSOM, Oct. 14 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger and state Sen. John Kane will honor veterans for their service with an appreciation lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the American Legion Hall Post 926, 3220 Concord Road in Aston.

Veterans in the 161st Legislative District are invited, along with a family member, to enjoy a free lunch.

Staff will provide information on state government-related programs and services available for veterans. The Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans’ Van will be there to help accredited veterans connect with benefits and services such as disability, health care, pension, education, career assistance and more.

“The veterans of our country have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “I am grateful for their service and sacrifice, and this lunch is a small way for Senator Kane and me to show our appreciation. This lunch is also a great opportunity for veterans to learn more about the services and benefits available to them.”

“Veterans have played such a huge role not only for our entire country but in my personal life, as well, and I take every chance I get to thank them for their selfless service, said Kane, D-Chester/Delaware. “I am proud to partner with Representative Krueger to thank and give back to our veterans with an event like this, where we can show them how much their sacrifices have done for us. I want to personally invite all of the veterans in our area to join each other for this luncheon, and I encourage them to connect with the organizations that will be in attendance to educate them on available services and resources.”

Seating is limited. Veterans should RSVP by calling Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880 or emailing RepKrueger@pahouse.net.
