Free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).  CAADC will be serving low- and moderate-income families in Delaware County.  All services will be done by IRS trained and certified community volunteers and will aim to serve families who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit.  CAADC will be providing assistance starting in late January until mid-April.  Assistance is being provided by appointment only!  Times and days vary by location.  To schedule services please first call (610) 833-4443.

If you choose this option, you can create digital copies of your tax documents and upload them from your cell phone or computer to the IRS-provided software to prepare your returns. A Tax-Aide volunteer will prepare your return remotely. You work with the Tax-Aide volunteers online and by phone to review and finalize your returns, file them and have your returns sent to you electronically using a secure transmission facility. WHAT TO BRING

For a quick and easy tax filing, bring the following documents for you, your spouse, and anyone you are claiming as a dependent.

EVERYONE NEEDS…

•          Current driver’s license, state ID, passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization card AND birth dates for all household members

•          Social Security card (or other Social Security document with full SSN on it)

•          W-2 and 1099 forms for income, pensions or Social Security, or unemployment received last year; plus your previous year’s tax return (if available)

•          Year-end statement for childcare expenses AND Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number of the provider

•          1098-T form for any college/ trade school expenses paid

•          1095-A statement (if applicable) AND total all expenses plus bills/receipts for medicine and doctor’s visits as backup

•          Property tax

•          Amendments and Prior Year Filings up to 4 Years
