PASS THE CONTRACEPTIVE ACCESS FOR ALL ACT!

Sixty-one years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a landmark decision in Griswold v. Connecticut that established a constitutional right to privacy in reproductive health decisions and upheld the right to contraception. In the wake of a different Supreme Court's decision to roll back abortion rights in the Dobbs decision four years ago, we have seen increased efforts to roll back other critical facets of reproductive healthcare, including birth control.

Since 2017, when there were efforts to roll back access to birth control during the first Trump Administration, I have been working diligently on HB 1140. The bill passed the Pa. House with a bipartisan vote on June 3, 2025.

It has been sitting with the Pennsylvania Senate ever since.

We're done waiting. Join us in calling on the State Senate to take action and pass House Bill 1140.

Your message will be sent to:
Senator Christopher Gebhard; Senator Devlin Robinson; Senator Elder Vogel; Senator Gene Yaw; Senator Greg Rothman; Senator Joe Pittman; Senator Kim Ward; Senator Kristin Phillips - Hill; Senator Lisa Baker; Senator Scott Martin; Your Senator.

Subject line:
Expanding Access to Contraceptives in the Commonwealth

Email Body:

The denial of contraceptives and contraceptive care is a form of discrimination and an attack on basic health care. Contraception not only provides control over whether or when to become a parent but also serves as a treatment for many health conditions, including their risk of developing ovarian and endometrial cancers and the risks of maternal mortality.

I urge you to take decisive action on House Bill 1140 to protect and strengthen access to contraception coverage. Vote in support of House Bill 1140 because it empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their lives, supports family well-being, and promotes economic security. Ensuring comprehensive coverage without cost-sharing is not only a matter of public health but also of personal freedom and equality.

Your leadership on this issue will help safeguard the health, autonomy, and dignity of millions of Pennsylvanians. I urge you to stand firmly for reproductive rights and equitable health care access.

Thank you for your time, attention, and service to our community.

Sincerely,
