Sept. 1 update: a Sunday shredding event, and an update from PennDOT

Dear Neighbors,

Sept. 13 Shredding Event

Join me and Reps. Pam DeLissio and Greg Vitali for a FREE community shred day on Sunday, Sept. 13.

This rain-or-shine event will run from 10 a.m. until noon – or until the truck is full, whichever comes first – at Beth David Reform Congregation, 1130 Vaughan Lane in Gladwyne.

This is a great way to safely dispose of important documents you no longer need – and in a way that’s environmentally friendly.

Attendees are limited to a maximum of four boxes or bags.

Because of COVID-19, attendees must wear masks and be prepared to carry their own documents from the car to the collection bins.

Commercial License Update from PennDOT

Expiration dates for commercial driver licenses and learner’s permits have been extended through Sept. 30, PennDOT announced recently.

This is for commercial licenses and permits only. Expiration extension deadlines for non-commercial driver licenses, photo ID cards, learner’s permits and camera cards expired Aug. 31.

For a list of open driver license and photo license centers and the services provided, as well as hours of operation, visit www.dmv.pa.gov.

Thank you for reading, and please stay safe!

Sincerely,

Mary Jo Daley
