Reacting to Governor Shapiro’s Bold Budget Proposal

This Tuesday marked Governor Shapiro's budget address, setting a visionary path for Pennsylvania’s future. I am proud to share my enthusiastic support and optimism for this bold proposal.
The Governor’s budget emphasizes investments in education, workforce development, community safety, and healthcare, aiming to uplift and strengthen our commonwealth. The proposed funding increases for K-12 and higher education will empower our students for future challenges.
Governor Shapiro’s commitment to quality education, affordable healthcare, and good-paying jobs is clear. I look forward to working with my fellow lawmakers to pass this budget and build a brighter future for Pennsylvania.

Look for money in your mailbox with Pennsylvania Money Match!
|
|
|
The PA Money Match law, passed unanimously last year, allows The Pennsylvania Treasury to automatically return unclaimed property valued at $500 or less to a single owner. Eligible property owners will receive a letter to confirm their address and a check about 45 days later.
The first round could return over $2 million to 8,500 Pennsylvanians.
Overall, PA Treasury aims to return over $4.5 billion in unclaimed property, including dormant accounts, uncashed checks, rebates, and insurance payments.
Search PA Treasury's website regularly for property that might belong to you. The average claim is $1,600, and properties over $500 or with multiple owners won't be returned automatically.
Visit PA Treasury's website to search anytime, and contact my legislative office for help.
