Important Update on 2025-26 Hunting and Trapping Licenses
|
|

We wanted to share some important updates regarding hunting and trapping licenses for the 2025-26 season. Here’s what you need to know:
- General Licenses: Sales begin on Monday, June 23.
- Antlerless Licenses for PA Residents: Single-use antlerless licenses are available in all wildlife management units (WMUs) and are guaranteed to Pennsylvania residents through Sunday, July 13.
- Nonresident Opportunity: Starting Monday, July 14, nonresidents may purchase unsold antlerless licenses on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Combined Sales: On Monday, July 28, unsold antlerless licenses will be available to both residents and nonresidents on a first-come, first-served basis.
- License Limits: Hunters may hold up to six antlerless licenses in total, except in WMUs 5C and 5D, where up to nine additional antlerless licenses per hunter are allowed—resulting in a maximum of 15 antlerless licenses.
- Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP): Permits for DMAP will be available starting Monday, August 11.
