Strengthening Schools and Supporting Families Without Raising Taxes
The 2025–26 state budget delivers real, meaningful investments in our local schools — funding increases I fought for that put students first.
Importantly, these investments come without raising taxes, so we’re supporting students and families while protecting taxpayers.
These new resources will strengthen classrooms, expand early-learning opportunities, and support mental-health and safety programs that help our children learn and thrive. That support also helps local families by easing pressures so parents can focus on work and their children’s success.
I’m grateful to colleagues on both sides of the aisle who worked with me to secure these dollars for our community. I will continue pushing to ensure these funds are used effectively and transparently to benefit every student in our district.
Millcreek Mall Marks Half Century of Community and Commerce
Earlier this week the Erie Delegation had the honor of presenting a citation to the Cafaro Company in recognition of the Millcreek Mall’s 50th anniversary. For half a century the mall has been a major economic and community landmark — one of the largest mall complexes in the country — and it has continued to adapt as the retail landscape has changed.
Congratulations to everyone involved in Millcreek Mall’s success, and here’s to the next 50 years of jobs, shopping, and community connection.
Honoring Our Veterans
Thank you to all of our veterans who have served this country.
It was a privilege to honor your service in the Veterans Day parade and at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. Your sacrifice and dedication protect our freedoms and strengthen our communities.
Thanks to the Eastside YMCA for a Great Health Fair
The Eastside YMCA hosted a wonderful Health Fair this past Friday, and my office was glad to be there sharing information about state programs and services that help our community.
We provided details on PACE and PACENET, two programs that offer reduced prescription costs for eligible seniors, along with other resources to support health and well-being.

Get Your Vehicle Ready for Winter Driving
Is your vehicle ready for winter driving? Winter weather can arrive suddenly — make sure your car can handle snow, ice, and cold temperatures. Before the first flakes fall, have a mechanic inspect your brakes, battery, hoses, belts, and tires.
