Building on their bipartisan efforts to enhance urban search and rescue in western Pennsylvania in the recent state budget, Rep. In addition to the announcement, an Urban Search & Rescue demonstration followed the news conference. The bipartisan group began working to establish a Type 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team in western Pennsylvania after the Fern Hollow Bridge collapse. Currently, the only Type 1 group in Pennsylvania is based in Philadelphia.
