PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 3 – State Rep. Amen Brown, D-Phila., issued the following statement welcoming Burlington Stores Inc.’s corporate headquarters to West Philadelphia and Pennsylvania’s 10th Legislative District:
“Burlington Stores Inc. choosing to locate its corporate headquarters in West Philadelphia is a major investment in our community and a strong vote of confidence in the future of District 10.
“This is not simply another business opening its doors in our neighborhood. This is a major national company making West Philadelphia the home of its corporate headquarters. That distinction matters, and it speaks volumes about the economic potential, workforce and opportunities that exist right here in our community.
“The presence of Burlington’s headquarters brings the potential for quality jobs, greater economic activity, workforce partnerships and long-term investment. I want this announcement to send a clear message to companies across Pennsylvania and throughout the country: West Philadelphia is ready for corporate investment, and District 10 is open for business.
“As state representative, I will continue working to ensure that major investments like this create meaningful opportunities for the residents and families who call West Philadelphia home.
