Rep. Ben Sanchez's Biography

Ben Sanchez was elected to represent the 153rd Legislative District in Montgomery County on November 6, 2018. As a lifelong district resident, Ben understands his diverse community and continues to build on his record of fighting for the hardworking residents of Abington and Upper Dublin in the legislature.

Ben's legislative priorities include common-sense gun safety legislation, supporting public education, protecting the environment, and expanding access to health care for all Pennsylvanians.

Ben graduated from Abington Senior High School, Villanova University and Temple Law. Prior to being elected to the legislature, Ben worked as a certified public accountant, an attorney, an adjunct professor of law at Drexel University and has served Abington Township as Commissioner for Ward 7.

In addition to elected office, Ben has served the community as a Board Member of the Inter-Faith Housing Alliance of Montgomery County and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Jefferson Health.

Ben lives in Abington with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
