FREE SHREDDING AND ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT

March 22, 10a.m.-12p.m. at Temple University Ambler Campus Parking Lot

Join my office along with the offices of Rep. Melissa Cerrato and Rep. Liz Hanbidge for a free document shredding and electronics recycling event! Empty your garage and protect your identity at the same time. We ask that you limit your shredding items to 3 brown paper bags. Our offices will be collecting non-perishable food items for local food banks at this event.

 

**We cannot accept monitors, TV’s or any products that contain freon.**

Tech Champions is a Pennsylvania program designed to empower people with developmental disabilities to learn to use technology to better connect with their friends, family, and the community.

 

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY!

The Keystone Contractors Association Scholarship Program is committed to providing $40,000 in scholarships annually to Pennsylvania residents who are attending Pennsylvania colleges and who aspire to build the future of Pennsylvania.

 

This scholarship program is ideal for graduating high school seniors and current college students who seek a construction-related degree.

GO FISH

Spring is just around the corner, and a sure sign of its arrival is the release of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission's 2025 trout stocking schedule.

Some key dates:

  • Saturday, March 29 marks the statewide Mentored Youth Trout Day.
  • Saturday, April 5 kicks off the statewide Opening Day of Trout Season.
  • Sunday, May 25 and Friday, July 4 are Fish for Free Days.
 

"WHAT DOES FINANCIAL LITERACY MEAN TO ME?"

Pennsylvania students in grades 9–12 are encouraged to submit a short essay or poem about financial literacy. Three winners and three honorable mentions will be selected and announced during Financial Literacy Month, which occurs every year in April.

First, second, and third place winners, as well as the honorable mentions, will receive cash prizes from Harrisburg University:

  • First place: $2,500
  • Second place: $1,500
  • Third place: $1,000
  • Three honorable mentions: $500 each

In addition to the cash prize, if any of the six winners enroll at Harrisburg University, each will receive an additional $1,000 tuition scholarship. The deadline for submissions is March 17, 2025. Students must submit their entry online at: HarrisburgU.edu/HUFinancialLiteracy.
