Webster applauds $1 million award earmarked for new clubhouse at Jeffersonville Golf Club

WEST NORRITON TOWNSHIP, Dec. 06 – State Rep. Joe Webster, D-Montgomery, today announced the awarding of $1 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program funding to the Jeffersonville Golf Club for construction of a new clubhouse.

The Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program is a grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects

“This monumental investment ensures that the Jeffersonville Golf Club continues to remain a premier golfing destination in Montgomery County for decades to come,” Webster said. “It is vital to continuously enhance the amenities for the Jeffersonville Golf Club in order to attract new members, while also retaining the loyal patronage of the members who have been golfing here for many years.”

This project is geared towards the construction of a new clubhouse building which will include a restaurant and a banquet facility to be utilized by the community’s residents. In addition, a pro shop, golf simulators, and storage space for equipment will also be included in the construction.

“Investments such as this one spearhead our economic growth in Montgomery County. I applaud this funding and look forward to seeing this envisioned project become a reality,” he added.

RACP projects are authorized in the Redevelopment Assistance section of a Capital Budget Itemization Act, have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact, and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenue or other measures of economic activity.
