Hunters work to conserve our environment by managing wildlife. Currently, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in Pennsylvania; however, hunting on Sundays remains illegal in Pennsylvania. While the Game Commission currently has the authority to designate three Sundays per year where Pennsylvanians may hunt, we must pass legislation, just like 39 states, to allow the Game Commission to provide its expertise so that we may permit hunting on Sundays in Pennsylvania, connect farmers to licensed hunters to manage deer on their property, and require that at least one member of the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners has experience in the agriculture industry. These bills will benefit hunters, farmers, and forests alike by continuing the legacy of Pennsylvania's hunting heritage, aiding farmers, conserving our forests, and enriching Pennsylvania's economy.

I urge you to consider Rep. Mandy Steele's legislative package – House Bills 2106, 2107, and 2108 – so that hunters may continue to preserve the environment and manage wildlife in our commonwealth and the Game Commission may provide its expertise.
