Rep. Paul Takac’s Biography

Paul Takac was elected to the House in 2022 to represent the 82nd Legislative District in the heart of Centre County. Takac’s experience in local government includes serving as a member of the College Township Council and as chair of both the Spring Creek Watershed Commission and the Centre Region Council of Government's Public Safety Committee. He has also served as council liaison to the College Township Industrial Development Authority. Takac also brings to the legislature more than 30 years of business experience, including more than two decades in educational technology consulting and sales working with educators across Pennsylvania.

Takac’s policy priorities as state representative include ensuring full and fair funding for education, championing environmental justice and the transition to a clean energy economy, protecting individual rights, supporting working people and families and investing in our local communities.

Takac and his wife Regan have made Happy Valley their home for more than 20 years and raised their three children there.
