As 2026 begins, I am incredibly proud of the work that my staff and I did last year. We connected with over 10,000 constituents, secured nearly $2 million in grant funding for our community, and hosted two shred events that saw over 500 cars. I had eight bills pass the House and one bill signed into law. Here’s to an even greater 2026!

Introducing Legislation to Protect Homeowners
|
For most Pennsylvanians, the most valuable financial asset they have is their home. Shared Appreciation Agreements, sometimes also called Home Equity Sharing Agreements, are a novel financial instrument to allow homeowners to sell equity in their home for a lump sum of money.
These agreements are financially complex, can result in large monetary obligations vastly beyond the cash received, and are completely unregulated in our Commonwealth.
I am proud to join my colleagues, Reps. Tim Twardzik and Lindsay Powell, to introduce H.B. 2120, bipartisan legislation to add Shared Appreciation Agreements to our existing statutory protections for home-secured financial products.

Congratulations to Mayor O’Connor – and other District Updates

Congratulations to Mayor Corey O’Connor on his inauguration as Pittsburgh’s 62nd mayor! I look forward to collaborating with the mayor to benefit Pittsburgh and our region.

It was great to tour what will soon become the Ohio Township Park at Green Valley with leaders of the municipality and Senator Devlin Robinson. I look forward to seeing this project come to fruition soon and am proud to have partnered with Senator Robinson to obtain grant funding to support this new park.

I was happy to join community leaders at the ribbon cutting for the newly remodeled Northland Public Library. Thank you to everyone who made this project possible, and thank you to those who will allow the library to continue to be an asset to our community long into the future.
