Curry takes oath for second term

HARRISBURG, Jan. 3 – State Rep. Gina H. Curry took the oath of office in the state Capitol today to begin her second term representing the 164th Legislative District, which includes Upper Darby Township, East Lansdowne, Lansdowne and Millbourne.

The noon swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the 207th Legislative Session of the Pennsylvania House. Curry will also serve as co-chair of the Women’s Health Caucus.

“I am honored that the residents of the 164th have given me another opportunity to represent them in Harrisburg,” said Curry, D-Delaware. “I will continue to be an advocate for equitable funding for education, economic development and the need for affordable and safe housing.”

Curry was elected during a special election in 2021.

The 2023-24 legislative session has the largest and most diverse class of freshman Democratic legislators in over a decade, there are 26 new members and eight are women.
