Delloso announces shred event Saturday, July 11

HARRISBURG, July 6 – State Rep. David Delloso, D-Delaware, will host his free Shred and Electronic Waste Event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 11 at the Norwood Fire Company. The fire company is located at 336 Chester Pike in Norwood.

“In a day and age when it’s important for all residents to protect against identity theft, it’s important to discard any item that contains personal information in a safe manner,” Delloso said. “This free event allows residents to avoid scams by providing the safe disposal of documents, like old bank statements, as well as old electronic devices like smart phones and laptop computers.”

The event is free to all residents. Residents should wear a mask when dropping off documents to be shredded or electronic devices to be destroyed.

Residents are asked to limit their documents to two boxes. Electronic devices that will be destroyed are limited to cell phones, laptop computers, desktop computers, iPads and tablets. Any other electronic devices will not be accepted.
