Krueger to host consumer protection information event, veterans breakfast

FOLSOM, Feb. 25 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will be hosting two upcoming events to help community members access valuable state services. Krueger will host consumer protection office hours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 5 at her district office, 701 E. MacDade Blvd., Folsom. A representative of the Office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection will be on site to answer consumer questions or field complaints, as well as provide information on how to avoid scams. “I know community members are concerned about how they can best protect themselves from scams and what they can do if they have encountered problems,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “I’m happy to host the attorney general’s office so that residents can get the answers they need.” Krueger will also host a veterans breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to noon March 7, at Herbert W. Best VFW Post 928, 1805 MacDade Blvd., Folsom. Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a light breakfast and learn about state and local resources for veterans. Krueger presents $24,000 grant to Brookhaven Fire Co.

FOLSOM, Feb. 19 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger recently presented a $24,000 grant to the Brookhaven Fire Co. The funding, which comes through the Department of Community and Economic Development, was awarded to help fund vehicle crash rescue tools. “Supporting first responders is one of my highest priorities, and proper equipment is essential for them to respond to emergencies,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “I’m proud to help ensure Brookhaven Fire Company has what it needs to serve our community, and I will continue to look for ways we can support fire and emergency organizations.” Rep. Krueger to host telephone town hall Feb. 25

HARRISBURG, Feb. 10 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will hold a telephone town hall at 7 p.m. Feb. 25. Residents of the district will receive a call to their home phones at 7 p.m. and can simply stay on the line to listen to the discussion. “I love talking to local community members about the issues that are important to them. Their input is critical in my work as their representative, especially as we start budget hearings this month. This format makes it easy – residents can weigh in without leaving home!” said Krueger, D-Delaware. Krueger to co-host 2020 census hiring event Feb. 11

FOLSOM, Feb. 5 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will co-host a 2020 census hiring event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 11. The event, co-hosted by state Sen. Tim Kearney, will take place in the conference room at the Ridley Township Library, 100 E. MacDade Blvd. The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring thousands of temporary workers to assist with the 2020 count. “This is a great chance for local residents to learn more about the opportunities that are available and obtain help with applications,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “I’m pleased to be able to connect community members with jobs that are crucial in helping ensure an accurate census count.” Anyone with questions can contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
