Malagari: $50,000 secured for Telford Fire Co.

TELFORD, Nov.1 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, today announced a $50,000 grant has been awarded to Telford Fire Co., Station 75, for the addition of a new firehouse siren.

“When I heard our station was in need of a new aerial siren, I made it a top priority to provide emergency services with the equipment it needs to serve our community,” Malagari said. “Investments in public health and safety are easy to make. With this allocation, these volunteers will be able to better ensure the safety of our residents.”

Telford Fire Co. is using the grant for the addition of an aerial siren to their firehouse since the original siren is still on the old firehouse and is not suitable for continued use. The old siren is being sold to fund additional upgrades.

Station 75 has been serving Bucks and Montgomery counties since 1903. Run entirely by volunteers, its goal is “To provide professional, quality emergency services to the residents we protect and to do so in an environment where everyone is important and respected.”
