HARRISBURG, Oct. 12 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill is alerting local veterans that her monthly veterans support program will be held Oct. 16 at her district office, 1080 Schadt Ave., in Whitehall.
“Veterans gave a great service to this country, protecting our freedoms and ensuring our safety,” McNeill said. “Following the service of every veteran, it is up to us as a society to provide support and assistance for them as a sign of appreciation for all they did. My veteran office hours provide a great opportunity for them to see the programs and services that are available to them and receive assistance with the application process.”
According to McNeill, a representative from the American Legion Service Office Outreach program will be in her office to provide information on education, health care and death benefits.
Appointments with the outreach specialist are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the third Monday of each month. Those interested in meeting with the specialist should make an appointment by calling 610-266-1273.
