McNeill announces state funding for safety improvements along Broad Street corridor

BETHLEHEM, Aug. 19 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill announced today that $1 million in state funding was awarded to support infrastructure improvements along the Broad Street corridor.

“This funding will help make Broad Street safer and more accessible for everyone who uses it,” McNeill said. “These improvements will help reduce crashes, calm traffic and make it easier for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users and drivers to safely get where they need to go. I’m pleased to see this investment supporting Bethlehem’s efforts to improve safety throughout the corridor.”

The funding was awarded through PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund Statewide Competitive Funding Program. The program provides financial assistance for priority transportation investments across Pennsylvania and is designed to ensure that residents have access to a safe and reliable transportation system.
