Krueger sworn in to continue representing the 161st District

HARRISBURG, Jan. 5 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger was sworn in today for another term as representative for the 161st Legislative District in Delaware County.

“We begin a new legislative session faced with the devastation to our humanity, to our communities, and to our economy wrought by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With a renewed commitment to the well-being of our families, our friends, and our neighbors, I am honored to continue to work and fight for help for those who need it, including small businesses, frontline workers and emergency responders,” said Krueger.

Krueger, who was first elected in a special election in August 2015, said she will continue to work to protect access to health care, stand up for clean air and water, and support fire and emergency services. In addition, her district office remains available to help residents of the 161st with state-related issues and services, including home heating, children’s health insurance, prescription drug and property tax/rent rebate assistance.

“In the past year, my staff helped 1,080 people with unemployment compensation complications, attempted to close a total of 13,101 constituent service cases, and directed countless residents and small business owners to resources,” Krueger said. “We know the past year has been hard and we remain ready to help by phone or email, or in-person by appointment.”
