Dukes secures $1.3 million for nine Butler County projects

BUTLER COUNTY, Sept. 15 – Today, state Rep. Brandon Dukes announced that $1.3 million in funding from the Department of Community & Economic Development’s Local Share Account will go toward projects in Butler County.

A total of nine projects will benefit from the allotment, which is provided by the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

The LSA allotment will go toward the following:

$500,000 for storm sewer installation in Zelienople Borough.
$250,000 to support the eventual construction of a recreation center in Cranberry Township.
$100,000 for stormwater improvements in Mars Borough.
$100,000 to modernize the current EMS building in Jackson Township.
$100,000 for the purchase and upfitting of a plow truck in Harmony Borough.
$100,000 to make improvements in EDCO Park in Evans City Borough.
$50,000 for storm sewer system upgrades in Evans City Borough.
$50,000 for the construction of a salt shed, maintenance garage and storage yard in Evans City Borough.
$50,000 for the replacement of a culvert in Evans City Borough.
