Honoring the Legacy of our Veterans

Rep. Nelson Weekly Newsletter

As Veterans Day approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect on the values that make our country special and the generations of brave men and women who have served to protect them. Freedom, opportunity, equality, and the ability to live with dignity are ideals that have shaped our nation, but they are also ideals that require commitment and sacrifice to preserve.

Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize not only those who have worn our nation's uniform, but also the families who have supported them, and made sacrifices of their own. Their courage, dedication, and willingness to put country before self-have helped preserve the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today.

Whether someone served decades ago or is serving today, whether they returned home, their service deserves our deepest gratitude. On Veterans Day, and every day, we honor them and thank them for helping protect the values and freedoms that bring us together as Americans.

We are forever grateful.

Thank you!

I would also like to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who came out to vote on Tuesday, and to our neighbors in the 154th district for putting their trust in me once again to serve as their representative in Harrisburg.

I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue representing our communities and being a voice for the people and families who call this district home.

Serving as your representative is a responsibility I never take for granted!

I am excited to begin this next term, work alongside my colleagues in the new legislative session, and build on the progress we have made together.

There is much work ahead, and I look forward to the opportunities and challenges before us!
