Nelson ready for his third term

HARRISBURG, Jan. 7 – State Rep. Napoleon Nelson was sworn in today for his third term representing the 154th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Nelson took the oath of office administered by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Todd. The legislative session will continue through Nov. 30, 2026, as part of the 209th consecutive legislative session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
"I am deeply honored to continue serving the people of the 154th District and working alongside my colleagues to make Pennsylvania a stronger, fairer place for all its residents," Nelson said. "I look forward to building on the progress we've made and advancing policies that will create lasting change in our communities. Together, we will continue to fight for affordable healthcare, economic opportunity, and justice for every Pennsylvanian."
In addition to his role in the House, Nelson will continue to serve as chair of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus. In this leadership role, he remains committed to advocating for policies that address the needs of Black communities across the commonwealth, fighting for equity and social justice in both policy and practice.
As part of the 154th District, Nelson said he remains committed to addressing the pressing issues facing his constituents, including education, healthcare, and economic development. During his time in office, he has earned a reputation as a dedicated advocate for his district, working tirelessly to bring resources and support to local communities.
The 2025-2026 legislative session marks the continuation of Nelson's work to ensure Pennsylvania remains a state where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.
The 154th Legislative District is comprised of Cheltenham, Jenkintown and Springfield in Montgomery County.
