Working for AI Transparency in Healthcare
|
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used by insurers, hospitals, and clinicians in a virtual arms race. What may be left behind are patients and the public.
I am proud to be working with a bipartisan group of my colleagues on H.B. 1925 to regulate AI’s usage in healthcare to ensure transparency, human decision making, and minimizing bias. You can read more about my legislation in the Pennsylvania Capital-Star.

Thank you to the press club and PCN for the invitation. You can find my full remarks in the video above.

Protecting Rural Healthcare – and Other District News

For National Rural Health Day, I had the privilege to join a bipartisan group of legislators and members of Governor Shapiro’s cabinet to speak at the Annual Pennsylvania Mountains Rural Health Conference hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Indiana Regional Medical Center.
As Pennsylvania’s only physician-legislator, I am committed to enacting policies that will ensure all Pennsylvanians receive high quality healthcare.

Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to speak with you on the work my staff and I are doing on behalf of our community. If your community is interested in hosting a similar town hall, contact my office to schedule an event.
