It’s National EMS Week. I had the privilege of attending the McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority open house and congratulating our EMS heroes on being named 2026 Pennsylvania Ambulance Service of the Year! As a physician-legislator, I am proud to be a strong advocate for state grant support for our local EMS agencies and to work with them as an emergency physician.

I recently attended a legislative breakfast hosted by the Conference of Allegheny Providers and heard from families, providers and other advocates about the challenges we face caring for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am committed to championing state policies to help these residents thrive.
