More than 150 residents attended Venkat’s Diwali open house

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 13 – In celebration of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, Rep. Arvind Venkat, D-Allegheny, hosted an open house to connect with more than 150 residents about his work as the state representative for the 30th Legislative District.

In addition to the open house, Venkat’s office collected donations of nonperishable food for North Hills Community Outreach’s food pantry.

“Through this open house, my staff and I had the opportunity to connect with residents of the 30th Legislative District, inform them about the state services my district office provides, and discuss legislative issues in the community and our commonwealth,” Venkat said. “By partnering with NHCO to collect donations of nonperishable food, we also helped members of our community in need of our assistance.”

His office, located at 9800B McKnight Rd., Suite 130, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, will continue to accept donations until Friday, Dec. 15.
