BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY

School's almost back in session, which means school buses will be out on the roads again during your commute! A few reminders to help keep students safe this back-to-school season:

  • Yellow lights mean a school bus is preparing to stop. Slow down and watch for children.
  • Stop at least 10 feet away when red lights are flashing and the stop arm is out. It’s the law.
  • Wait until the lights stop flashing, the stop arm is withdrawn, and children have reached safety before moving your car.

Not sure where to stop? Watch below to learn when to stop on roads without a median, roads with a center turning lane, and other road scenarios.

Violating PA's school bus stopping law can mean a fine of up to $300, a 60-day license suspension, and 5 points on your license. Learn more at pa.gov/schoolbus

IT’S TIME TO HOLD BIG TECH ACCOUNTABLE

Pennsylvania is at a crossroads when it comes to data center development and the future of Big Tech in our communities.

The House has passed nine bipartisan bills to hold Big Tech accountable, but only ONE has become law after reaching the state Senate. These measures would protect Pennsylvanians' health and environment, lower utility costs, boost transparency, ensure Big Tech pays its fair share, and give local communities a say in data centers moving in.

Click here to join us in demanding the state Senate pass these measures and keep Pennsylvania from becoming a free-for-all for data center development.
