Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father's Day to every dad, mentor, big brother, uncle, friend and father figure for inspiring our children and making a difference in the lives of our neighbors! Although my dad Papa McClinton is in heaven, I remember his hearty laugh, joyous personality and love for people.
Juneteenth Office Closure

In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed Wednesday, June 19. We will resume normal business hours Thursday, June 20.
Neighbors – on this Juneteenth, we honor our ancestors and celebrate the progress and accomplishments of Black America, while understanding our fight for equality and freedom is far from over. Happy Juneteenth!

HCV Housing Fair

If you or someone you know is looking for housing and has an active HCV voucher, the Philadelphia Housing Authority is hosting a housing fair on Friday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PHA Headquarters, 2013 Ridge Ave. For more information contact the PHA at pha.phila.gov.
Pride in the Park

13 local LGBTQ+ organizations are celebrating Pride Month with a field day in West Fairmount Park on Saturday, June 15. “Pride in the Park,” which is organized by a coalition of sports and athletic groups in coordination with Fairmount Park Conservancy, is a fun-filled day of friendly competition - from relay races to kickball - welcoming all experience levels and promoting camaraderie and community in a safe and welcoming space. Registration is still open.
Juneteenth Food Giveaway

The Keith Dawson Foundation’s 2nd Annual Juneteenth Wellness Event, Food Giveaway and Vending Fair, is Saturday June 15, from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at 820-839 New Walnut St in Darby. This event will promote community and showcase Black owned small businesses.
