Independence Day may have passed, but the state House is still celebrating Pennsylvania’s unequivocal role in our nation’s founding with a historic convening in Philadelphia’s Congress Hall on Wednesday, September 9.

September commemorates 250 years since the adoption of the Pennsylvania state Constitution, which laid the groundwork for the U.S. Constitution that followed nearly a decade later.

The festivities include a civic education initiative that will have more than 80 students engaged in activities to learn more about their state government operates, including interacting with some of the state's key leaders.

The final event will be a meeting of state House members at Congress Hall where they will consider and vote on two resolutions.
