Everyone is talking about high prices and how to stretch their family budgets farther. While mismanagement in Washington has driven prices up, Speaker McClinton and House Democrats have been focused on affordability since day one.

With their leadership, they have secured SEVEN tax cuts in just a few years. Tax cuts to help working families, seniors and small businesses.

  • Since 2023, nearly 200,000 additional seniors qualify for the Property Tax Rent Rebate Program, which returns more than $300 million to PA’s wisest neighbors annually.
  • By tripling the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit in 2024, the tax cut for families with 2 or more children increased from $630 to $2100.
  • In 2025, Speaker McClinton led the charge to create the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit – a program that returned nearly $193 million to 900,000 people on their state taxes.

Pennsylvania now also allows taxpayers to deduct up to $2,500 of student loan interest from their taxable income to provide tax relief to graduates with student debt.

Finally, the business tax cuts keep Pennsylvania competitive for job creators and innovators.

  • A new Employer Child Care Contribution Tax Credit allows businesses to help support the working parents they employ.
  • Reducing Pennsylvania’s Corporate Net Income Tax (CNIT) is saving businesses more than $1.5 billion
  • Increasing the Net Operating Loss (NOL) deductions helps the small businesses driving the state economy grow.
