Neighbors – Gov. Josh Shapiro delivered his budget address to the General Assembly on Tuesday! This proposal includes more money for our schools, SEPTA, new initiatives to promote adult literacy, repair our infrastructure, improve health care and much more!

Direct File for FREE in PA!

More than 2 million Pennsylvanians are now eligible to use Direct File, the IRS tool that allows you to file your federal and state tax returns online securely and for FREE. The IRS launched this tool last year, but 2025 is the first year PA residents can use it.

Check to see if you will be eligible to use Direct File to file this year’s personal income tax returns at https://directfile.irs.gov/.

Apply for the PTRR!

If you are 65 years or older, a widow or widower aged 50 or older, or a person with disabilities aged 18 or older, you may qualify for a property tax or rent rebate! The deadline to apply is June 30, 2025, and rebates will be distributed starting July 1, 2025.

Applying is easy! You can submit your application online through the myPATH website, by mail, or stop by our office. For more information and to access the application, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue's website.

The PA House Fellowship Application is Open!

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the Summer 2025 semester. Applications are due on March 1, 2025.

Qualified applicants will be:

  1. College undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or law school students.
  2. Enrolled in a Pennsylvania college oruniversity, or a Pennsylvania resident enrolled in an out-of-state institution; and
  3. Pursuing any major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The PA House Scholarship is Open!

High school seniors who will be attending a PA college or university in the fall have until April 15 to apply for the PA House of Representatives Scholarship.

Two scholarships are awarded each year. The award is to be used towards the cost of tuition and fees for a four-year program at a college, university, or career school in Pennsylvania. Half of each annual award will be paid in the fall semester, and half in the spring semester. Students must maintain eligibility criteria in all four years to receive ongoing awards.
