I was back in Harrisburg this week following the legislature’s summer break to continue working on issues like protecting children from AI, changing the primary voting system to allow independents to participate, and keeping students safe in our schools by encouraging schools to consider installing panic alarms in case of emergency.
I also spoke in support of workplace accommodations for women going through menopause, met with some of our neighbors who visited the Capitol, and welcomed a new House member.
I will be holding a health fair and fish fry with City Council President Kenyatta Johnson on Friday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Francis J. Myers Recreation Center at 5801 Kingsessing Ave. Tickets are free but you must register in advance.
