Malagari announces $75,000 investment for PMEA line worker training

LANSDALE, APRIL 2 – Today, State Rep. Steve Malagari announced the procurement of $75,000 for a line worker training program within the Pennsylvania Municipal Electric Association. PMEA is an association of 35 Pennsylvania boroughs, including Lansdale and Hatfield, that deliver electric power to residents. Through a $75,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, PMEA aims to teach the next generation of electricians and other professionals. “I’m always proud to support bringing highly skilled labor into Montgomery County,” Malagari said. “PMEA has successfully helped connect the people of Lansdale, Hatfield and the county to electric power, and to keep connected, we need trusted line workers.
