Head-to-Toe Senior Appreciation Fair

Rep. McClinton welcomed more than 400 of her wisest constituents to her Head-to-Toe Senior Appreciation Fair on Sept. 13 at Presbyterian Homes. Those in attendance were treated to lunch and entertainment, and were given opportunities to learn about resources to help them live healthy lives.

2019 Back to school event in Darby

Rep. Joanna McClinton welcomed more than 300 families to her third annual Back to School Resource Fair at the Darby Borough Recreation Center on September 3. 350 children received supplies and book bags for the school year as well as free haircuts and styles. More than 15 vendors provided information and resources. Rep. McClinton honored newly appointed Deputy Police Chief Joseph Gabe Jr. of the Darby Borough Police Department with a citation.

Fourth annual 60th Street Health and Wellness Summer Jam

On Aug. 10, 2019, Rep. Joanna McClinton welcomed more than 1200 constituents to her fourth annual 60th Street Health and Wellness Summer Jam. The event began with a march for peace and featured health screenings, activities for children and adults and live entertainment.

Automatic expungement legislation

Rep. Joanna McClinton hosted a news conference to urge the General Assembly to pass bipartisan legislation that would automatically expunge some people's criminal record. McClinton was joined Rep. West Philadelphia community mobilizes to fight gun violence

Tired of the endless gun violence, state Rep. Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, partnered with state Senator Anthony Williams and Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell to host an emergency community meeting to elaborate a plan of action to fight against gun violence in Philadelphia. The elected officials were joined by the Philadelphia Police Department, the state’s Attorney General’s office, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, the Philadelphia Anti-Violence Anti-Drug Partnership (PAAN), Every Murder Is Real (EMIR) and Sayre Health Center.

500 families receive turkeys to celebrate Thanksgiving

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 20 – To enable families to celebrate Thanksgiving, state Rep. Joanna McClinton, D-Phila./Delaware, in partnership with Saladeen Art, Creative Minds Inspire and Bernard Hopkins, gave away 500 turkeys to families of the 191st Legislative District.

McClinton, Harris host Fall Festival 2018

In an effort to provide young people with a safe environment to celebrate Halloween, state Reps. Joanna McClinton and Jordan Harris, both D-Phila., partnered with the 12th District Police Station to host a Fall Festival for local families. The event featured children’s games, food, trick or treat candy giveaway, and health and wellness vendors who provided information on the importance of exercise and healthy eating.

Darby Back to School Resource Fair - Sept. 4, 2018

Rep. Joanna McClinton welcomed more than 100 families and handed out supplies and book bags to 120 children during her Back to School Resource Fair in Darby, Delaware County. Students also received free haircuts and styles from Yasmeen’s Clean Cuts and BBC Beauty Academy. There were 20 local vendors in attendance – including representatives from Aetna, Crozer-Keystone Community Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Public Citizens for Children and Youth, the Maternity Care Coalition and the William Penn School District – providing information on health care and school safety to attendees.
